What's Up, Tina?

getting to know myself.

Juggling with work and study at the same time for the past four years, I lost track of knowing myself. Ever since I graduated, I felt very lost, because my world revolves around my school and work. If you ask me how I was when it comes to work and school ethics I can definitely give you an answer right away. But if you ask me what my principles are and values, and what type of man I want, I never get the chance to know my preferences, except that I love scuba diving. Human relationships are complex and when it comes to person-to-person relationships, it would take me a long time to answer.

Ever since my boyfriend broke up with me last January of this year, I decided to seek counsel. I booked an hour session with a trained psychologist and told me that, the thing that I lack most is my sense of self worth and love. She asked me a couple of questions which I find triggering at the same time challenging because I don't know what the answer to. And so I decided that I will embark on this journey in knowing myself better.

There are so many ways on how to get to know ourselves. The Internet has given us a wide range of information about self love. Shadow work, feminine energy, human design, whatever you name it. But I tap into Astrology.

Some people might find it very absurd to believe in something that isn't even proven by science. Although mathematics is prominent in your birth chart and in knowing the position of the stars, the probability of its effectiveness is still questionable. In the past, our ancestors used the stars to determine the forces of the Earth, and relied on it based on how and why things work. I still believe that there are some things that science can't explain, that there is something bigger out there, and that we are moving on, according to invisible, magnetic fields whatever you call it, or it could be forces of something that we can't see in the naked eye. It will not be any different regardless of how advanced technology we have now.

As someone who isn't religious, I have opened myself to the possibilities of the spiritual realm. Astrology is beyond what you've read in a Sunday newspaper about what your zodiac sign is. There are more things to consider like what planets are in and what houses it is transiting now. Like religion, have faith, and take what resonates.

Astrology has given you the basics of your personality inside and out. This has become an outlet for me to fully understand why a person or I think, behave, talk, love, share, and feel this way. Not everyone is the same, just like our fingerprints, chart is your fingerprint in astrology. There are also factors that need to be considered. it also depends on the current situation that you're in. Just imagine astrology is like your guide book of life where it will be a tool for you to become a better person. And some people use religion for that too.
